Daily Devotion:

Too Blessed to be Stressed

December 31st, 2012

1 Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

~ Psalms 37:1-4

In this season of your life, it is important to keep your focus on the things of God. It is easy to become envious of the people of the world because the ones that appear to be blessed materialistically are promoted, even though they promote and do things that would be shunned in other instances. However, these blessing are only according to the world’s standards. As a believer, you must not allow the enemy to cloud your vision. You know where your blessings come from. The time is limited for those people who consistently do wrong. The bible lets us know that they will be cut down like the grass. Stay strong in your faith and know that God has your best intent in mind. Those people are just place holders for your blessings because the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Continue to do well because you are already too blessed to be stressed.
